A selection of works with occult themes, created between 2018 and 2023.

“Madness or death. Or life. But what kind? Definitely an afterlife one.”

Margarita Omar’s monochrome graphics draw the viewer into a grotesque, magical world. On the pages of her White Book, a whole range of works from the “dark arts” awaits you, from medieval grimoires to Eastern mysticism.

Margarita Omar (b. 1993) is an artist from Luxembourg. She lives and works in Sofia. In 2017, she graduated from the Luxembourg Conservatory with a degree in Musical Informatics, focusing on experimental music. Alongside her solo music project, she is also part of the post-punk duo “На Червено”.

In 2023, Margarita received a Certificate of Artistic Achievement (Luxembourg Art Prize, 2023). She completed the General Drawing and Painting course at Leith School of Art in Edinburgh (2019). In 2015 and 2016, she actively volunteered in art workshops for people with mental and physical disabilities in Luxembourg.

The opening of Margarita Omar’s exhibition at Cryptid Art Space on 18 September 2023 (6:30 pm) will begin with an experimental video screening titled ‘The Fool, the Priestess and the Death’ (2023), accompanied by an esoteric mini-performance.
